New X5 Rear Entertainment System
Decided to go for a pop down roof mounted screen(10.2")/DVD with link to OEM TV and front screen & TV on move option for rear, includes IR headphones, basic games console/pad and is hard wired via car's sound system for that option to. Had it professionally installed before taking delivery by ICE specialist very pleased with his work & skills and would recommend him/his company. Also love the OEM screen/cd/MP3 player & TV system.

Very nice. Nice to have a big screen. Is this the BMW rear entertainment system - as per the accessories brochure?

I ask this because I had the system fitted on my Nov 2005 car when I bought it new, but the roof mount screen was no longer available and had been replaced by 5.4" headrest screens - which are very nice, but small!!

Yes, that's the one from the brochure. I think it was out in Dec. 05. You can remove the dvd player. It has battery for 3 hrs.
Works for X3, X5, 3, 5.

I don't think this works with the pana roof? I had the headrests models installed instead..

You're right. I couldn't take the headrests 'cause I have comfort seats.

You can always go with Invision with the comfort seats... Nice 7in monitors. Dual DVD players...
