Like Fiona mentioned, this car definitely was opened by rescuers, to extricate the driver. Look just above the driver's seat...you see the sheet metal was cut with a reciprocating saw. The windshield was pulled out and thrown forward, and the steering column pulled forward, away from the driver. The driver's door was tossed backwards, all to get to the driver.

The right would have appropriately been off the road hitting the light pole. Perhaps even both sides.. The grass is certainly torn up circa the curb, and mud is visible..

thanks.... it still looks to me like it hit a grassy section then something else and the resulting emergency squad "surgery" caused the rest of the damage extricating the victims... it could have been anything... i'm just guessing
