Typical brake job $$$ at the dealer???

Warning light just came on for the brakes on the wife's X. What is the typical cost of a brake job at the dealer?? This is the first one we have done since buying the X last year and I really don't plan on taking it to the delaer, but would like to have a number to compare to with an independent shop.

Thanks!!

For rotors and pads all around, at a dealer, expect $500+ easy.

Most dealers have a fixed price brake job, both with and without rotors. It is either posted in the shop, or the price is provided if you call. Worth calling your local dealer to see what they are offering.

The dealer quote me my front brake job $680. I just bought entire brake includes rotors and pads for $480 from import then put them in myself, it took me 4 hours and splited the work into 2 days. Just came back back from July 4th trip 12miles trips with brand new brake. It's nice, no more vibration and steering wheel when apply the brake at sudden.
