Need Help: 20" Tires

Hi All -
I'm a newbie and this is my first posting. Just traded in my 330Ci for the X5 4.6is and I love it!

Ok..so I need tires on this bad boy and I prefer all seasons. I've got 20 inch rims (Fronts: 275/40/20, Rears: 315/35/20), so I know things will be a little pricey....but I don't want to go too high. I haven't dealt w/tires this large before, so I'm not sure what's good and bad. Could use some help.

The lowest quote I've got so far are on a set of Toyo Proxes S/T. The fronts are $175/tire and the rears are $210/tire. That's in the range I'm looking for, but does anyone have any feedback on Toyo?

All of my other quotes are $300 or $400 per tire. I'd like be around $250/tire if possible. Any suggestions on a good set of all seasons that won't break me?

Thanks,
KB

Go with the Toyo Proxies. That's what I've been riding since March and the performance has been excellent.

Best thing is the Toyos- agree with Bimshire on that. You may want to get a set of 18" wheels with winter tires for Dec- early March, but we don't get blasted all that much with snow around here, know what I mean?

Enjoy the new ride!

Thanks. That's 2 votes for the Toyo's, so I'll probably go with those. Since some of you are local to the DC/Metro area, where do you go to get your tires? My best quote came from Radial Tire in Silver Spring.

I'd recommend letting them put them on for you as well as buying them there. They are the best tires/suspension shop in the area. You may get them cheaper elsewhere, but if you hang on to your receipt and ever have a problem, they'll take care of it for you.

I have been on the Toyo's for the last 1000 miles, no complaints whatsoever. Nice tires!

If you don't want to go OEM then get the Toyos, they have a good rep from the board.
