I heard you could put it in the tailgate from my service tech friend and it would work perfect.

Actually, I would prefer under the rear spoiler for optimum reception.

The receiver is located underneath the spare in the OEM location - the trim piece is already set up for it. The antenna is a magnetic unit that would simply attach to the roof of the vehicle, we prefer to hide the antennas in the spoiler instead.

Hiding the antenna keeps the installation stealth, and avoids the antenna scratching the paint when washing.

Yeah thats what I meant. Mine last two digits are 42, so looks like im outta luck.
