Wheel alignment

I need to get a wheel alignment done on my X5. Do I need to go to the dealer, or can I go to any wheel place, like Wheel works, American tire co, etc? Just wondering because of the Adaptive headlights.

My X5 pulls to the right a bit and I have to drive with my wheel slightly to the right to drive straight, which makes my headlights shoot slighty right as well.

Cool...on dead flat roads or,
typical crowned roads?

Are you certain your right front tire is inflated
properly/evenly to left?

NEway, you will get pros & cons of Stlr vs.
wheel aling joint, from the board.

Read ahead and form your own opin.

On any road. Yup, tire presure is the first thing I checked. I just didnt want to take my X5 for a wheel alignment at a tire place and find out they screwed something elase up.

I would go to the dealer and them check the wheel alignment. You need atleast once every two years depend on how much miles you hand on them. I call the Mercedes dealer if the know how to do the alignment on BMW, the tech guy said, he does not have spec to align a BMW. Why take risk at other shop but BMW dealer. It's cost a little more but you know it was done right.

The last two times I've had an alignment at my dealer, the steering wheel ended up more crooked after. They corrected it each time, but what a pain.

Your dealer sucks then. Take it to another one.

On the contrary, my dealer doesn't suck. They have given me incredible service over the last few years. They just can't seem to get an alignment right the first time.

any decent shop with the proper machine can do the job. some smaller dealers will farm out the alignment jobs. hunter alignment machines are usually good unless it's an old outdated model.
