Need Help! Headlight Sensors!

Hi Guys,
My Auto Light function is not working properly, the lights is always on when I use auto light button at (morning/night)!?!?!
Is there a way to fix this, or is there a sensor that I have to clean or a fuse?
Thanks,
Fad

It's normal for the headlights to come on at dusk/dawn depending on the angle of the sun. I believe the sensitivity can be adjusted at the dealer as a programming feature. The sensor is located behind the inside rearview mirror if you want to clean it.

I doubt it. Check your headlight switch: if there's a position with low-beam symbol and "A" to the left (counter-clockwise) of "0" (off), that's the automatic setting.

The sensor is located behind the interior rearview mirror on the mirror itself. You should see a hole........see if there's anything obstructing it. If not, a dealer visit my be in order.

My x is 2001 and does not have this function. Is it possible to ask dealer to add this function into my x?

Sure is if you got enough money to throw at the dealer. Not worth the estimated $1K or so it would take IMHO. (Start with a new LKM and work down from there.)

Daytime running lights?
I have a 2001 and I dont have the auto headlights.
Could the sensor on the back of the mirror be for the auto windshield wipers?
Are the inside 2 lights or outside 2 lights staying on?

DRLs should be mandatory for all Canadian vehicles upon delivery, but for some reason if you dont have them, your dealer will program it for you. They consist of the inner 2 lights only.

The back of the interior rearview mirror attached to the glass is the rain sensor. The headlight sensor is on the backside face of the mirror itself, not the portion attached to the windshield. Could someone post a pic?
