Cool Nav screen sunshade?

Anyone know if there is an aftermarket sunshade available? Can't see my screen at all in the sun...

Thanks,

Dave

i soo agree with you! The angle/position of the screen in the X is horrible. Never had this problem with my e46 330xi with navi.

I have tried a screen protector from www.screenpatronus.com, but found that it didn't help very much.

Anyone have other ideas ??

Mike

...funny thing is my 2001 w/ the original 4:3 screen did not have this problem, it was always easy to read. The 16:9 screen in my 2006 is very difficult to read most sunny days.

what i was thinking about was perhaps having someone mold a plastic piece around the screen. I figured it can be done since someone did a custom double din bezel here.

You could check out Hoodman. They do a lot of good quality sunshades for all sorts of photo/video equipment.

Thanks, the Hoodman computer shade looks like it may have possibilities... I may try to fashion a cardboard version first to see if it will work..
