INVISION Audio Question

New member and just purchased 4.8is X5. I have the INVISION Rev 2 installed and connot seem to get them to play the sound throught the X5's stereo system. Is this possible? i.e. to hear the movie without using the headrests?

Also is it possible to remove the cassette deck and install the changer or just a single CD player behind the NAV? Aftermarket or BMW if it is not too expensive. Tape deck.... The last tape I listened to was 15 years ago! What are these idiots thinking.

PICS Coming soon.

You should be able to use the BMW Aux input to pipe the stereo sound to the X5's stereo system.

In my opinion, going the route of a CD player is not too different from going with a cassette. OLD technology. Instead install a Dension IceLink Plus in conjunction with an iPod and you'll never look back

Check your remotes for the REV 2 system and press the FM on button. It will display what radio station to tune in to with your FM transmitter that was part of the box. It should be like 89.3 or something...

Not to worry Lawrence is here!

If you will direct your attention to your remote control.

Directly under the RED power button there is a button labeled DVD -A-

Please press that button one time. (This will designate the remote only to work on the MONITOR -A- (Your Drivers side headrest monitor)

Directly under that DVD -A- button there is another button labeled Sound Around ON/OFF Please press that button and make sure that your FM Mod is transmitting (It will read in green on the screen FM MOD CH1 88.3)

On the remote directly 2 bottons to the right of the Sound Around ON/OFF button there is a button labeled Sound Around Select

That button will change the frequency that the system transmits on from 88.3,88.5,88.7,88.9,90.5 and so on. After you change the frequency that the system is transmitting on, please change the radio station on your X5's radio to match the station displayed on the -A- Monitor in green and you should have a clearer signal.

Please contact me on my cel or at the office if you need additional help.contact me directly so I can diagnose your question.

Thanks again,
Lawrence

If you have any questions about my products and service please feel free to give me a call at your earliest convenience.

not trying to compare the two, just wondering if there are similar audio outs aside from the fm modulator
