4.8 - Performance Or Pia
Well went down to the dealer yesterday.... had the computer reloaded and still have detonation.
BMW AUST have said they don't know why it is doing it so it must be the fuel. I am wondering why the knock sensor doesn't eliminate it.... They have now asked me to only use BP Premium 98 RON as the other companies that supply fuel do not always meet this level. Does anyone have any input or are using less than 98 RON unleaded in their 4.8? Steve.. BMW are unable to obtain details of that bulletin. Any chance of getting an email address so that I can give my local dealer his contact?
