Any pics of pre 04 with 4.8 KIT on?

Did anyone in here do this conversion? I mean pre 04 with 4.8 kit on. not 4.6. As far as i know the 4.8 frontend has different lower bumper part with the 4.6 kit. Do you think they sell the lower bumper part separately? If they do, would it fit on the lower part of pre 04? I am putting on 4.6 kit but it would look nice if i could replace the lower part

Ditto! Thanks for starting this up - just about to head out the door. Hopefully we'll get some good responses.

i may be wrong but....
for a pre-04 to be converted into the 4.8 i had thought the entire front end needs to be replaced...if that's the case there won't be any cosmetic difference froma pre-04 4.8 kit or the original 4.8 kit

The 4.8is front is also a one piece bumper not just a add on like the 4.6is. Though the 4.8is looks more aggresive...

One member has this entire conversion from pre 04 to 04+ look, and i think that cost too much. I rather stay with 4.6 kit. Actually i just placed an order with Morristown. $600.

To me, the cost to convert an pre-'04 to the 4.8 front is too much. You have done the right thing in my mind. Here are some shots of my '04 with 4.8 front.

okay that's pretty awesome

i've got some pretty DAMN good connections with BMW parts so I'll take some chances - is there anything anyone would like me to "pass on" for a stock check? So I'm hoping for a "cheaper by comparison to paying retail" approach to the 4.8 conversion.

Looks pretty good in that last picture .

Sounds very darn tempting, how about you hook me up with 4.6 kit and 4.6 exhaust tips?

Lol - holy hell, scratching the 4.8 idea off my list, just noticed the difference in headlights and fenders. I just received some X5 updated taillights though? I'll take pics after I'm done showing before and after!
