Just some common sense. Tires, headlights, tail lights, Wheels, and intuition. I don't care if its a 00,01,02,03. My sense tell me its an 02. Well, he was nice though, X5 smile, X5 look. and sped away. But I think my 02 looks more updated than his, no? Whatever, i am going buy some www.xoutpost.com sticker and stick it everywhere on my X, or a license plate with x5world lettering or license plate frame that has xoutpost.com on with my plate has my x5world username on it. Well, thats not going happen but it would have been nice if somehow we recognize our forum members on the road. Last time i saw old couple, must be in the 70s, driving an modded X5 next to me, i try to match them with the avatars i saw here, but no luck. Maybe i will use a different method, like rolling down my windows and ask if they were on this forum. Well that would work, right? I don't think so.

i don't know, this whole thing seems a bit, well, creepy to me....
in the vette world, usually the newer vette owner waves first out of respect for the older model, the other owner waves back, everyone goes about their business.... no one tries to track the other guy down, it's too stalkerish. just my .02

BMW has sold about 200,000 X5s...
There are 7,000 members signed up, here with maybe another few hundred lurkers. The arithmetic suggests that any given X, viewed on the road, is probably not a "member" here. Glad you are spreading the word on X5 World, however.
