Exhaust

1. Thinking about changing out my exhaust tips for this one.

Can the base of these be directly welded to the muffler and how much would a weld like this cost? Thanks.

Just my $0.02 but I think that wouldn't look very good. I'm just not a fan of the faux one-into-two look. Those are $52 each, which means $104 for the pair, plus about $75 to weld them on. I would suggest trying to find a used 4.6is or 4.4 exhaust, or buying the 4.6is style tips.

An example....

they won't fit, you need 8-9 inches long, and those ones on the link are i think 12 inches--too long, unless you get rid of the muffler body too.

On the website they say 10' long. So it will be OK. In fact once you put this on, you wont be able to tell if its 1-to-2 tip. I saw one X5 at the muffler shop getting this welded on. It looks nice.

Come to the shop, you will be supprised. They have the whole shop filled with lifters, machines. Darm man, that shop is nice. I think Its on 3434 Bladensburg, MD. Next week I will come back for the Xpipe mod. Dont forget to check out the Hummer parking in the front. It looks sick.
