Tried changing all the bulbs.... its not going well This is like the 3rd time this has happened to me, im done buying tail lights off of ebay, There all broken lights being resold. Anbody have a good drivers side clear tail light or know a good dealer that sells them cheap? As much as i love the X, its starting to be a money pit, i just had to drop $500 to get my window regulators fixed, Which of course happened about 10 days after my cpo expired..

Thats not the tail lights not working. Check the contacts between the bulbs and the light housings. You will see corrosion has burnt a hole in it, either all the way through or just halfway. Go buy Soldering gun with lead and tin coil. Clean the contacts and put some of that lead and tin on each contact that has corrosion and twist the bulbs back in. You wont get a warning display on your cluster. $7 fix

Regulators are a pain in the ass for how often they fail... but they're also an easy DIY. Will only cost the price of the part ~$100. Also, look for an independent to do that kind of stuff if you don't want to do it yourself. It should only take about 2hrs tops. $500 is an absurd price and I was quoted that once and laughed in the guys face... especially after he told me it took 4hrs.
As for the lights, as stated, it's the contacts of what the bulb sits in. Either go to BMW and buy new ones or file and clean them and put some anti-oxidizing lube on them. Check all contacts for corrosion... it's a known BMW issue.

The dealer wanted $1300 to do 2 window regulators, my independent mechanic did it for $500. The regulator itself was $150 per side. So i think i got an ok price... Thanks for the info on the tail light! you have made my day
