Registration fees

Discovered this forum a year ago and been pretty much a lurker. Finally pulled the trigger and ordered a new sterling gray 3.0i. So its time to introduce myself and begin asking questions .

How much did you pay in total for registration,title,plates, etc?
Just want to double check with you guys before I pickup later this week to avoid unnecessary fees.

Here's what I got from NYS DMV...am i missing anything
Registration fee ($93.50) ~6000lbs.
vehicle plates ($15.00)
title certificate ($50.00)
vehicle use tax ($30.00)
sales tax (8.375%)

I think that is high, if it is any higher than that I will start walking to tone my ass.

mine was 480.00

mine was $409 with specialty plates other wise it would of been $349

It's going to vary from state to state. I think mine (WV) run around $500 per year for everything, and sales tax at the time of purchase was 5%.

yeah I just wanted to see what the average was. This is the first SUV i'm getting and my old car reg fees didn't cost nearly as much.

here in ohio it was only 54.50 for a year of plates
