Stealth one for 2006 X5?

Anyone know if the steathOne is compatible with my 2006 x5 and V1? The S1 website indicated compatibility up to only 2005 x5's. Wondering if they just havn't updated their site yet??

Thanks,

Dave

I don't see why it wouldn't work, nothing majorly changed for the '06, it's the last year of the body style so I highly doubt they'd invest in any major changes.

I'm sure it's just that they didn't update yet. There are basically no changes that would make it not compatible.

I've always wanted one but for the $600 set; I can't afford to get it. I know people would say that the money you save in the long run is worth it but being a poor college student and barely making my car payments; a V1/S1 is just something I'm envy of...

Definitely, it's something to save up for - If you get out of Denver, you know the roads are meant for sailin' when traffic is light - I'm getting my BMW service man to install it in my '06 when his work load lightens up (probably Nov ) - In the meantime, my BEL Rx65 moves back n forth.

I've been looking at this item...question...does it mute out ANY audio source when it alerts you? What is the convenience of having one? The company is in the next town over from me and I could just drive over and pick one up.

No it does not auto mute any audio source.

The convenice is significant imho.

1. The V1 is dark, and my alerts show up on the dash so the V1 install is more stealthy. Signal strength and direction arrows appear under my speedo. Some people use the nav screen or radio rather than the multi function display.

2. You can mute the V1 using the steering wheel buttons.

3. Accept screen on the Nav disappears automatically (worth the price of admission just for that imho).

4. Auto mutes signals if you are driving slower than a threshold that you set--mine is set for 40 mph.

Am I forgetting anything?
