Question Cayenne Model

Do you mean base Cayenne vs 3.0 or Cayenne S vs 4.8 or Turbo vs?
For the E70 not sure anyone can say as it is not in showrooms yet. You may get more repsonse in the E53 forum?

Think he means E53: Cayenne vs 3.0 X5, Cayenne S vs 4.4 X5, Cayenne Turbo...beating any X5 on the highway.

Best advice, test drive both.....then you'll know.

Really? a 3.0 loses to the regular cayenne? I thought in regular trim it was way underpowered and bloated with weight compared to the X5...

For me the biggest con for the Cayenne is that is downright ugly!

Do a search, there are several pages of threads with Cayenne info. Sorry, don't have the time to read through them all for you.

Seriously. The rear of the Cayenne is just !

Not only that, but the interior is a disgusting mix of nasty color plastics and materials...

I still shudder from that test drive...

I compared the base Cayenne with the X5 3.0 a few months ago and I could not find a single thing that was better about the Cayenne. Acceleration and handling were about the same for both cars, but braking and ride quality were better on the X5, and the X5 was overall a much nicer looking and more luxurious vehicle and was less expensive too. So I purchased the X5.

I agree that the Cayenne is ugly. Most of the time I can't tell the difference between the Cayenne and the VW Toureg until I see the badging.
