Thanks for the welcome aboard. . . I think.

But seriously, can anyone help me with my original question?

I don't mean to give you a hard time, but... wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to just get a newer phone that is bluetooth compliant? The phones are so cheap now and the the special kit you are looking for is likely to be "uncheap".

I think Nextel's Bluetooth is around $300.00.

<<I think Nextel's Bluetooth is around $300.00>>

Ouch. I have a couple of renewals on my desk for Sony Ericsson and Motorola for $25 and $60, just for signing a new 2 year contract. Both are Bluetooth. So I guess the cell phone business works differently where you are!

in any case the convenience of the Bluetooth technology makes any cost differential well worth it to me.

It's just Nextel. Their phones are extremely overpriced. Especially since their service SUCKS!

Actually that depends on where and how you purchase. http://www.phonedog.com/cell-phone-s...-specials.aspx The i870 and the Blackberry can both be purchased for less.

If i understand the question correctly you want to wire in your nextel phone to Charge it up?To get the X5 recognize it? ( In what way? . So you can dial out). If thats the case i guess your doing this as a challenge just to see if it will work? Or it's cheaper? I'm not sure. But it sounds like a lot of work. I have had Nextel for years so I would be interested where your going with this. Sorry I don't have an answer and I hope someone can help you but I gotta be honest from your description I'm kinda confused as to what your trying to accomplish.

The phone I have is the i850. It is a relative new phone (only a week old to me). The only BT phone I can get from Nextel is $249.95. Also my 2001 X5 is not BT. In order to make a BT connection I would have to buy a BT phone and some kind of adapter for the X5 (If i'm able). Not cheap!

What I am trying to do is either get a different ejection box with the correct coiled wire or an adapter for the end of the coiled wire to change it to fit my phone. The vehicle is wired for a phone (mic, steering wheel buttons, ect,...) so I would like to make it a neat installation.

There are better prices for a Netel phone http://www.phonedog.com/cell-phone-s...-specials.aspx Also many folks just get a Bluetooth head set. It's a better option. Finally I've never heard of an "ejection box" so maybe you can bring me up to date with that.
