Nextel non-bluetooth phone

Does anyone know of an adapter to attach my non-bluetooth nextel i850 or i560 to my 2001 X5? It current has the phone base and cord for the BMW motorola flip phone.

I did see that system. I am hoping to get the adapter as a direct replacment being the X5 is already wired for sound.

I'm trying to get in touch with Motorola's Tech Staff in Florida to see if they can either rewire the adapter for my phone with BMW plugs or supply the wiring diagram for the adapter as is. I already have the wiring diagrams for the BMW set up.

The adapter for my phone, as supplied for this system, has a RCA jack for the antenna and a serial plug for the connection to the system. If the BMW system can recognize the phone, it should be a snap to rewire. If not I guess I be splicing in the new system to the already fitted hardware.

PS. SuperGreg, you can sit back down now. I think there is enough evil in this world for more than one super hero. I'm not trying to rain on your rein.

You see that is where I think the problem lies. I've been running around the house in my underwear and a cape with an "S" on it since the 1960's. My username has nothing to do with you.

I'm just trying to use this forum to give and receive information on a new to me X5.

Really? how could an imposter strive to equal or match (Emulate) Supergreg. Do you actually believe you could possibly imitate reproduce someone's behavior? Not on your life. Supergreg is our hero Your right though that is where the problem lies. Around here you gotta earn that S. It isn't enough to run around the house in your underwear with a cape with an "S" on it since the 1960's. The thought of that makes me shudder in disbelief. To earn that S You gotta be able to solve X5 problems in a single bound. Be able to leap tall questions by newbies without hesitation. You get the idea HUH??? Any way I couldn't resist. :xoutpost:
