Window Regulator Part#..Identify!!!

What is this part number? It's the part that attaches to the railing, the plastic thing broke that holds the cable in. Will I have to buy the entire regulator setup? The motor and pulley are still perfectly fine and this appears just as easy to replace (maybe fix?).

Thanks,
Steve

It's only an $80 (at most) part and I already have it off, I'm glad I didn't bring it back for warranty. I just wish I could replace JUST this piece, if it's integrated/molded to fit the cable, no big deal.

You can't buy that part separately, you have to replace the complete window regulator. Like you, that's what has broken on most of mine, and I have inquired several times to BMW why they don't/won't sell that part separately from the entire regulator. I've never received a good answer other than it's only available by purchasing the complete window regulator kit.

Good answer; You cannot buy it because we (BMW) make more money doing it the way we do. Also, that's why we never redesigned these crappy parts in the first place.

Thanks for the replies, I just ordered the regulator for $74.99. It sucks they don't sell it seperatey, it's such a simple part to replace.

It's a novel idea, unfortunately, I would RATHER spend 80 than "ghetto rig" it that way. If it happens again, I might just give it a try though!
