What is all involved in upgrading to Sport Steering Wheel?
I was just wondering what this mod consists of. Is there a DIY somewhere that I can't find? How much would the airbag costs? Thanks. |

Well it's almost plug and play. I just went from a "square airbag" wheel to an M wheel and the only thing that did not work right away was the horn. I had to connect the black ground wire, which was btw unused in the non-sport wheel, to the ground of the M steeringwheel (where the brown cable normally goes). Hope this helps.

If you're talking about the M steering wheel, here's a DIY on the M steering wheel retrofit -- No. 1 from the Interior Section of X5World: http://www.xoutpost.com/articles.php?...rticle&artid=7.
You'll need a round airbag, which costs approx. $500. Good luck. |
