Question Steering Wheel / Air Bag Emblem

Has anyone replaced the BMW emblem on the steering wheel? Mine has a lil scratch in it and I want to replace it. I found the "stick on" ones on Ebay but would prefer not to go that route. Has anyone tried them?? Curious if they work well. I can't think that they do.

Is the emblem itself attached with adhesive? Can it be pulled off and a new one put on? I did not see it as an individual part on RealOEM.com

The oher thing to do would to just gat a new airbag!!!

You should be able to get the airbag emblem at your local dealer. The ones on ebay may or may not be genuine. Almost all emblems are stuck on using a double-sided tape. To remove the old one, heat it using a hair-dryer (heat gun may get too hot) and slowly pry it off. Any residue can be removed using a product called 'Goo Gone' available at Home Depot among other places. Let it dry and stick on your new emblem!
