potential AC problem?
Hi,
I just realize that there may be a problem with the AC. The problem is that I can't turn on the AC to "max" when I park the X under the sun for more than 2 hours. This is what I did. Start the X, push the "max" AC button within a minute but the AC won't turn on to max for some reason (the AC is set to the setting on the last memory). I have to wait about 5 mins then all of the sudden the AC will turn to max. Do you think it's a problem? The funny thing is that the max button will work after the problem occurs at the first time. I think it's hard for me to tell the dealer the problem b/c I don't think it's easy to reproduce the problem. Thanks |

I guess it by design. It does not want to trouble with you all that hot air blowing in your face and getting you all hot and bothered
![]() The AC compressor runs for a few minutes and then the vents are opened to allow cold air into the cabin. Same process for heating in cold mornings.

I agree w/ the MiCk...I believe they put a sensor/time delay deal in there, so Max is not doable when superheated interior air is "sensed". As Max recircs int air, it really takes longer to cool int than using outside ambient air,(normal A/C), drawn in and cooled before delivery to vents. BR,md
