hello n00b question

OK I'm looking at x5's. I have a frew questions:
1) 4.6is' are they more trouble than the standard 4.4?
2) how hard is going to be to find a 4.6 with adjustable ride hieght?
3) is the alcantara interior more or less desirable? My wife wants leather, so I'm wanting to know if it's common to swap the suede out for leather.

I'm sure I'll have more soon. I searched a little, but I figured I'd go ahead and ask a few questions and introduce myself at the same time.
P.S. my name is Jeff

I will answer to the best of my ability.
1. I don't believe the 4.6is are more trouble than the 4.4's. I love mine and have not had any trouble with it.
2. 4.6is did not come with adjustble ride height.
3. I have the the red and black checked alcantara in mine and i love it. It looks great and not many have it. I believe it was an upgrade/option. My friend had the nappa leather and the alcantara feels so much better.

Good Luck.

Noooooo, that was the one option I really wanted......So I have to get a 4.4 and supercharge it then?
What years of 4.4 had the ride height as an option?

You still can get the 4.6Is and get it dropped, or get the 4.4I with the adjustable ride height and get the 4.6Is rims + the front and rear bumper extensions... which btw looks 1000000 X better! good luck
