Darren P,
If you are looking for a SUV that handles like a sports car, has impeccable roadside and bedside manners, has a 5 ***** crash rating....... decision made. This is one seriously safe car to be in. Also it is the Anna K of SUVs in my opinion. Now if only I could get a match scheduled.......!! Cheers,

For me, it was two words only...RESALE VALUE...I sell more cars than I buy, so this is the first thing I look at when buying a car...NO car sells like a Bimmer..Hondas sell fast, but for retaining value, nothing beats the Ultimate Driving Machine!! I just drove my E46 for a year, and sold it for 1000 more than I bought it for...Just something to keep in mind...

I like/mostly love/enjoy our X5; what all they said above...
I would also rec'd a good test drive in an X3: it is no slouch, being lighter, etc. Not the interior level qual you'll find in an X5, but no dawg, either. Whatever you do, be sure to Drive some diff versions, eg Sport, non-sport, 3.0 vs 4.4, etc. GL, md

Drive it for a week and you'll understand! Plus as an added bonus, you get to hang around here too.

I recently purchased a CPO 2003 4.4i with 10k miles on it. I LOVE IT. The previous vehicle was a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 with 196K miles (I am determined to put 200K on it). Why do I like the X5? It has everything I am looking for. It looks great, rides very nice and performs very well. I was recently on a trip and a friend said that my X5 feels like a sports car. He drives an A6 and his wife has a QX4. I can't get over how fast the X5 is for a vehicle that size. I can only imagine how fast the 4.8 is. I wanted something with plenty of room for my hobbies. I love to golf and snowboard. I take a lot of trips. I didn't want a full size SUV. I think they are TOO BIG. The X5 is not much bigger than the Jeep, yet it has so much more room. I am 6'4" and I have plenty of room. If I may, what other vehicles are you considering? |
