CD Changer doesn´t work

Eject system on my CD changer doesn´t work. When I press it, it just makes a weird electric noise and the mazazine doesn´t come out. The CD doesn´t play and only shows "CD 0" on the TV/Nav screen.
Is this a comun failure?

1. take a pair of pliers or twizzlers or something small and metal of that nature..
2. open cd changer door
3. examine carefully at the eye level of the magazine to see if one of the 6 trays is not fully retracted into the changer
4. adjust accordingly.

I hit the changer a sharp rap on top with the side of my hand and it popped out the stuck mag when it happened to me.
