No, my E53 is a 2006. You can simply remove the little "access panel" that snaps right off. The issue was fitment.. they simply are far too tight.

Access is easy on the passenger side, the drivers side requires that you remove something. I'm not even sure what it was, (water reservoir?) I just knew it had to be moved a tad to get access.

What you want to do is tap into the exact wires that are going into the old bulb.

Thanks!

Is this a bulb only replacement replacement?

I think i asked this before but I can't remember the answer. I may be buying a 04 4.8is and want to be sure I can do this fairly easily without the need of opening up stuff.

Also do you have the fog light replacements as well.

Thanks.

All you do is replace the angel eye bulb that comes from the factory, basically.

We do have fog light replacements - both bulbs ($29.99 for hyperwhite) and full HID kits ($275 shipped)

Thanks
JL

I promise to post photos after install this weekend, HOWEVER i nedd more detailed install instructions (just received the product, thanks for speedy delivery, but it DOESNT come with any instructions)
all right correct if I am wrong:
I unscrew the old bulb, do I leave it hanging by it's wires?
then I insert predator ice
i tap into black and red wires with plastic gizmos
what do I do with extra sets of black/red wires that are coming out of ballasts???
where do I affix ballasts???
sorry for all this "newbie" questions, but I think this product should include basic instructions. I'm good with electronics, but it's hobby, i dont do it everyday! I dont want my money go to waste by installing incorrectly!!!
I'm sure others will agree with me
