Had X towed to the stealer. Didnt wanted to start

I had to call roadside assistance today because my X just didnt wanted to start. It had a clicking noise but it didnt start. I think is the battery, but I still could turn the radio on and all the lights... what do you guys think it could be?

I think you're correct in assuming the battery. The battery doesn't have to be totally dead not to start the car.

Yep -good bet it's the battery. And if it's the original BMW battery the indicator on the battery to indicate "condition".....doesn't work very well or at all..at least in my experience. Pretty simple process to replace it on your own.

Im still covered with factory warranty + CPO warranty... Oh well I just dont know now if I want to keep the X.. Is not because of the dead battery but since I've owned the X ( 4 Months ) I've had a lot of parts replaced under warranty including the following...

1. Servotronic pump
2.rack and pinion + Steering rack ( don't know if it's the same thing)
3.steering wheel because of a loose clip that hold's the airbag
4.they'll have to replace the right wiper blade arm, because it just wont stop chattering.
5.courtesy lights under mirror's module, it was defective.
6.Front control arms
7.Intrument cluster ( dead pixels)
8.driver's side loose weatherstrip

Plus now the battery, and the A/C not blowing some times even when the MAX button is pressed..

So.. I just dont know, now that the factory warranty is about to expire and the CPO warranty will only cover the Tranny and other stuff( tranny feels rough some times when downshifting... OHHH WELLL HAHAHA

It is amazing how fast the heat kills batteries down here. Went through one in under 2 years in my Mini!

I had the following done with two years of ownership as a second owner:

1.rack and pinion / Steering rack due to leak
2.Instrument cluster ( dead pixels)
3.driver's side worn weatherstrip
4.Rear cup holder replaced
5.Rear drivers side shade
6.Rear passenger side tri-angle shade
7.Front cup holder

I too have some slight tranny hesitation problems and need to schedule a visit. I have been happy with the service but most importantly the warranty coverage has allowed this to be replaced. I think the first owner (1 yr lease) beat my X a bit but it looks great cosmetically. I will be extending the warranty next month before it expires.

I feel that new X owners who may also experience some problems but major problems are less comon since they take better care of the vehicle over the long term. Other drivers may beat up on the X more since they know it's a lease return or trade in the future. Just my 2 cents......

Mine was a lease returned too.. What kind of X do you have? The funny thing about it is that dealer said that because of my X being a 4.6is the tranny is setup in such a way that it will do the tranny thing always.. I think is BS and I need to search for another dealer
