Smile Just did it, installed Remus exhaust.

And I am very satisfied with it. The growl is great and together with X pipe I think it makes the perfect combo
Took them one hour to install it and the tips look better in real life then on pics. Windows up and you can barely tell the difference, but windows down and it´s just music to my ears.
I´ve made a sound clip with only the X pipe with engine cold and warm.
Later today I´ll made the sound clip with Remus exhaust.

For those looking to upgrade the engine sound, I definitely advice you to make the move, it really changes the driving experience and pleasure.

Where did you buy the Remus, how much and what is engine size? Do the make it for the 4.8is? Is it stainless or regular steel? Any issues w/the install?

Bought Remus to local Rep. here in Portugal, they had it in stock.
I have a 4.4i so the V8 sound is much powerful now. The intire exhaust is not stainless , just the tips and part of the mufller.
Don´t know if they have a modell for 4.8is and the install was straight on, because this Remus exhaust is made only for the X5, cannot be used by other modell, no need to weld anything. 45min to 1 hour job.

These are couple of pics from another member who made the same mod.

Dammit that makes me want an exhaust so bad, does anyone know if this has a louder or similar sound compared to the eisenmann? also what is the price difference between the two?

I´ve made a big search before bying the exhaust. I wanted something deeper but not to intrusive. From what I´ve seen, Remus is one of the quiest exhaust´s and cheaper too. Eisenmann is noisier than Remus. Have seen some members who had Remus and went to other options because they wanted something more radical. For me Remus is good enought, it makes the V8 sound as it should
