I'm looking to buy 2005 4.4 X5 and it came out in the vehicle history that this is a trade assist vehicle. Thanks |

My guess would be BMW's terminology of a Lemon buyback?

You CarFax report should show who the registered owners were. I would agree with DKL if it shows... Dealer, Owner, Dealer... it was probably a Lemon Buy Back.
There's also a customer service number on the CarFax report. Perhaps they could define the meaning. You could also flat out ask the dealer (good luck with an honest answer). Bottom line is... if it doesn't feel right... don't buy! My CarFax report showed my recently purchased X as a company fleet vehicle. Found out from dealer that it was purchased from a Hertz Rental auction Good Luck

Thanks for the reply. This vehicle is offered from a private seller. I'll run the carfax report and try asking the customer service dept of carfax about the explanation.
Once again, thanks. |
