Anyone remove resonator on 3.0 and installed smaller pipes?

Please let me know what differences you noticed. most people have the 4.8is or 4.6is who have done this.

i was going to do it but in the end i think its just going to sound whiney and annoying.

I wish someone with a 3.0 has done it because I just have a feeling that it will sound completly different. I don't want to waste any money. My local and trusted muffler shop is charging a $100.00 to do it with the parts.

Does anyone know if this effects the warranty?

And to anyone who has done this on either 3.0, 4.4, 4.6, or 4.8; is there any popping sounds when you rev the car to high? I know with some exhausts mods there is a popping fart type sound.
