If one is to floor their X5, the rpm naturally rises steadily (how fast is naturally dependent on the power of the kick down), but what if it pauses for a split second at the 4.5 mark and again 5.2 mark before continuing to go all the way until 6 something and the transmission up-shifts the car?
Also, on the calming down the rpm hangs on the 3.5 mark and again at the 2.5 mark before it rests at the required rpm depending on your acceleration etc?
In other words the needle's movement is not steady throughout. Is this normal in SUV engines or do I need some engine tuning/perhaps a more grave problem?
