Question What happens if the X gets over filled with oil?

is there a way to lower the oil on the X? is this bad? IO just had my oil replaced and I was looking at it today and the oil is passed the max level

If any engine with a wet sump gets overfilled, the results can be catastrophic. Usually slightly over the full line doesn't hurt, but if it is too high, the crankshaft churns the oil, working something like an egg-beater. That will cause the oil to foam, and foamy oil doesn't protect the engine, the boundary layer breaks down. $$$$. If it seems any higher than you are comfortable with, have whoever changed it drain it slightly. They don't have to drain it all, just enough to bring it down to the full mark. Better safe than sorry.

Make sure you wipe the dipstick clean and then check. My diesel always shows way overfilled if I just pull the stick out but after wiping it dry then recheck, it shows right on max. I don't know why it does this but it happens every time?!
