Any extended warranties NOT voided by Dinan?
I just spoke with my local BMW dealer, and they offer BMW's "Original Owner Extended Protection" coverage for two years after the new car warranty expires. However, he said that doing any Dinan mod's to the car (before OR after) buying that plan will void it in its entirety...period. Apparently, BMW's new car warranty can co-exist with Dinan's warranty, but not their "original owner" extended warranties.
Ironically, if the car was traded in and had CPO status when sold to someone ELSE, then it could have an extended warranty AND Dinan mod's -- just not if the original owner (e.g., me) still owns it. Does anyone know of an extended warranty that will cover non-Dinan related stuff with Dinan mod's in place on a car? Seems to me that Dinan should have relationships with SOME insurance company that is willing to cover non-Dinan-related problems...

I think we are in the same boat
Bruce,
You are correct, no addtional warranty if you have Dinan. I have an 03 4.6is with Dinan S3 package and in doing my research I came up with the same answers. Bigfish
