Help!! Burning smell

I think the ac smell is quite a common thing. I have read before where people have been getting bad smell through there on other BMW's aswell.

Is anything sticking to bottom of car? I had a plastic grocery bag stick to cat conv and burning for days.

It is worth a try. Also, you could spray some disinfectants in that area as well (where the microfilter sits)

The musty odor from the AC seems to be a prominent problem on many BMWs.
A temporary fix I tried once was to run the heat full blast on recirc for about 20min, then return it to normal operation. It got rid of the smell for awhile. |

I had a nasty smell in my E90, but it was the doggie bag with salmon (and mold) from LAST saturday (the 17th)....so glad I looked in the trunk for it!!
