Help!!!

On the way back to work noticed that A/C was not blowing cold air. Then I noticed that the clock was had stopped, stuck at time 1:11. Then I turned the vehicle off and the MID display did not go off, tail lights on and brake lights are on. Vehicle would not restart. Any suggestions...could it be battery? Radio plays and windows work.

Yikes! Sounds seroius, If your battery is approaching 5 years you should change it and hope that's the fix. Otherwise it sounds like a trip (or tow) to the dealer. Good luck.

Yah start with the battery. Definitely something in the electrics, obviously.

Hopefully it is a quick fix.

Thanks for the replies. Took battery to auto parts store and having battery charged. Battery tested out a tad low on voltage. Will find out more tomorrow, but I have a strong feeling that I will be taking a tow to the dealer.

Thats messed up. It sounds like you have a whole family of electronic gremlins in there. I dont know what it might be besides some control module somewhere. I dont think its the battery.

Good luck

My car did exactly that some time ago. Real BMW roadside asistance is non-existent in my neck of the woods but the advice from the local tow truck guy was to disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and then reconnect. Worked a treat and the problem has never recurred (touch wood)!

Thanks Fangbosun, Dissconnecting the battery is a cheaper fix than buying one. I'll try that first before anything else if I have similar problems.
