WOOOHOOOO Mech just calle dand said he has another set of perfect 4.8is exhaust pipes/mufflers for me for $400. SOLID.

Wanted to do this mod ever since i bought my car last February, no luck so far... if you were come across another one - let me know please!

i just want to clarify one point
wouldn't be easier of the compete exhaust system were replaced from the exhaust manifold till pipe end
i am interested in N62 engine upgrade (4.4 to 4.8is)

IIII, it MAY be doable, but why pay all that extra money for parts you already have. Plus I'm not sure if the 4.8iS pipes would line up with the headers or not so, just buy the mufflers and pipes connected to them.
Cheap to modify and usually done in about 1 hour I hear.

Why not just delete the resonator and add single exhaust tips if you prefer that look, a lot less expensive for sure.

Resurrection of a real old thread..
I've just had some original 4.8is rear end exhaust parts installed on my 01 4.4 and I can confirm it now has the proper V8 burble and hammer noise when on full chat. That's how it should have sounded from the factory.
