My coolant needed to be filled and I saw no such light |

Put in some pre mixed coolant (50-50).
Follow the instructions on the coolant resivoir. P.S. Never drive with the check coolant light on. At least know how much coolant is in the engine if its on. Overheating your engine is really bad. |

aight thanks for the advice so i can use any coolant and not have to make appointment with BMW? anti-freeze is coolant right?

I got my coolant (anti-freeze) at pepboys and it worked fine.
I just picked up whatever was on sale. |

I would purchase the coolant from BMW dealer, but not from anywhere else.

I have the same light. Except for the fact that i filled my coolant and it still comes on. Im thinking that it might be the sensor. Let me know if you find anything out.
