Can our rotors be resurfaced???

Or should I just suck it up and fork out the 300ish for a full set of Brembo sports? Ok, if I don't have that extra cash, can the rotors be resurfaced

Thanks.

The rotors can be resurfaced if they are not past the min thickness prior to turning. Don't know what the min is but any reputable brake shop or call you local dealer and they should be able to tell you. When my E-39 went past 65K miles, I just replaced all of the rotors and pads. Ordered the parts via the web and installed myself, all complete for $650. Good Luck.

bmw uses rotors that are pretty thin when new... if you turn the rotors, you will not get much more life out of them, just not really worth the effort and expense to do that. you'll end up doing a rotor replacement shortly after you just did the pad replacement.

but the answer is yes, you can resurface the rotors.

why do you need the brembo sport rotors? stock works just fine... for any type of driving...

Just pick up some brembo rotors and replace them. (I'm not talking about a brake kit or pimped out rotors, just standard rotors)

Honestly, I really like the way they look especially behind the 19s. In many cases I'm a function first, but I really like these.
