Quick Tire question

Just gettin ready to take off the 20's for the winter and looked at my 17's. This will be my first winter and we can get hit hard at times. The winter tires I have are Michelin MXV4 Plus. Anyone had these? They ok in the snow? The tires look next to new, if not new.

Thanks for any imput.

These are not the best tires for winter. I would suggest to check out www.tirerack.com and read the reviews.

I have them on my 3.0, that size. They are OK in the snow, not great. They are designed as an all-season tire, not as a dedicated winter tire. If you try a serious winter-only tire, you will notice a difference. If you have occasional snow, even deep snow, they are OK, just drive within the limits of the vehicle and the conditions.

Andrew, what they all said...
but, if you pop for a set of dedicated snows
on your 17" wheels, you will be amazed at the
bite they give.

Michey, Dunlop, et al...any real snow tire
will be a big step up in traction.

Snow tires are worth the cost IMO. especially if you are going with another set of rims for other conditions. Makes no sense to me to keep the OEM's on the old rims.

Thanks guys for the info. I just realized that my spare is the only Michelin MXV4 the others are the Cross terrain. Good reviews on them so I might just stick with them and see how it goes. A client of mine said he had some Scorpoins so I might get those off of him if they are 17"

thanks again for all opions
