hey guys,
well i was at the gmc dealer last nite with my dad, hes looking to get the new yukon denali. anyways i was asking the guy if there was an option to get xenons/hid's like all the new cars and he started ranting about how he hates those lights bla bla...so i finally calmed him down and got him to the point lol, and he was like yea, the dealership that he worked at just got a notice from the gmc headquartes or w/e that the xenons are gonna start becoming illegal in the state of ny/nj (as far as i know) because they were causing accidents and whatnot....i think thats a load of crap...imho...wut do you guys think?...opinons/comments welcome...and has anyone else heard of this rumor??

thats a typical comment from GMC dealer!

I think that is a load of c**p also! The traffic police here in the UK have Xenons on their vehicles.

Its illegal and always has been to have xenon bulbs in halogen housings, but kenons with the right projectors, offer far less glare than even regular halogen lights.

BS all the way!

He may be refering to the aftermarket lights. Most of the junk on E-bay is not DOT approved and already illegal.

as long as the xenon/hids are self leveling, they are legal. The moron probably read something about after-markets being made illegal.
