Sport seat swap with comfort seat?

Is it simply a matter of swapping out comfort seats for sport seats on the 4.6is I'm about to purchase?

For that matter, how about swapping seats with a 2001 BMW 540i? Same electrical and heat connections?

If anyone has sport seats who wants to swap (black) I'd consider it. Thanks,

It can be done with some simple checking of both seats and connectors it could be a simple swap! I once reto fitted E39 M5complete interior into a 540i. The 540i didnt have power seats but I was able to add power to the M5 seats with no problems and the right wiring. Check the front page of this site where someone fitted e46 sport seats into an X5.

Thanks, I'm hoping this can be done as I really don't like the comfort seats. I may try and swap with my parent's E39540i sport seats.

I would love to make that swap, I have the sport seats and they really bother my legs because of the sides. If only you were on the east coast... looks like you are in Washington State...ugh.

I have the sport package and when I bought the car they didnt come with sport seats.

I guess the previous owner swapped out both of the seats.

I know he swapped it out because comfort seats have electric headrest on the side and mine doesn't have that.

Good news is the seats are in perfect condition with heated seats, woot!

How much do sport seats at the junk yard go for? I would love to do a swap.
