Nope, mine's vibration free - it still wants to "hesitate" sometimes, but overall, it's a sweet quiet ride

What did you end up doing?

I wanted to update, I brought her to the stealer in early November and of course they couldn't duplicate the problem. I had to leave work early 2 days in a row to drop it off and pick up a loaner (which was a hundi sonata... don't even get me started on that one!!) and then to pick it up the next.

On the way home of course it started up again, but it was after 5, and they were then closed so I couldn't bring it back.

I finally was able to bring it back today because I had off. They had told me no appointment was needed because they couldn't find the problem. Right away they came to sit in the car because it was currently on and doing the "shakes" and they were able to feel it and agreed it should not be happening!! So they hooked it up to the computer... everything came back fine. So then they tested the fuel because apparently in the last couple of weeks they have had many cars in with the SAME problem and it was because there was too much ethenol in the fuel.

The tests came back that the fuel had too much ethenol 12-14% and also too much water! I have 80 miles left on this tank and will be filling it up at a B&P or shell (that's what they suggested) and also will add some fuel conditioner. They told me that the last car's fuel that they tested came back with 20% ethenol and that I should not fill up at a Sunoco again, which is too bad because it is the only full serve in my area.

This also angers me, if it turns out to be the true problem that I have been paying crazy prices for the "better" gas and it has been damaging my car.

So I am keeping my fingers crossed that this is the problem!!

not sure if this is in the same topic or not but i also noticed with my other cars before when i used Chevron that their gas seems to literally just evaporate faster than others.

using the same route every day and same way of driving, mobil and shell lasts longer than chevron that's why i never use chevron.

anyone else experience this?

Can you continue to add conditioner with each fill up as an option?

I guess, but I would rather not at $14 for a small bottle. I am hoping this is a "clean everything up" once and for all type of thing.

Oh, thought you were stuck locally with Sunoco. I am also concerned with ETOH down here. So far OK with Cheveron.

No, just the only one with full-serve that is local. I am lazy, but I guess I am actually going to have to start pumping my own gas!

I just stick with the Top Tier gas, and avoid E10 (10% ethanol) gas when I can. It causes a rough cold idle and shaking in our X3. There's a nice Texaco down the street from where I work that has a good price for premium.
