Cool Push Button Start in all X5s?

I discovered a while back that sometimes the car would start by itself when I finished entering my engine immobilizer pin #. You still need the key and you must use the immobilizer feature (I do everytime I park).

1. Insert your key and turn it all the way. The engine won't start.
2. Enter the 4 digit pin # swiftly
3. Hit "Set" and the car will start without turning the key.

It took me a while to figure out why that car would start automatically sometimes and not others and not being a slow poke was they key. It's more of a quasi push button start but still cool.

UPDATE:

This may not work with Navi but some have stated it works for them. And you need that autocranking feature in 4.4i and above.

After you turn your key with the engine disabled, the crank signal will be sent but because the code is turned on....nothing happens. But the crank signal is still being sent (in my car I have ~5-10 seconds). So if you punch in your code while this crank signal is still being sent, as you hit the final button on your mid, the engine will start.

If you wait to long, the crank signal stops. If you are having trouble, you can start by using an easy number to type like 1111 if you have slow fingers.
