HELP! Replace Passenger Side Mirror Assembly DIY (I searched)?

I did a search and could not find a DIY on how to replace the passenger side mirror assembly. There were results on replacing the trim and mirror, but I need the entire assembly (pic below)

That being said, my wife nailed a mailbox and thinks I can replace it because I'm always tinkering with my M3. I started the install, and then came to the conclusion that the door panel needs to be removed...in which I have no clue how to do any of this . Please help out this M3forum visitor. This truly means a lot to me. Thanks.

Brad

Are you trying to install the entire mirror? Housing case or motor of the mirror?
I would purchase the parts first that would give you some hints how to replace them

Thanks for the reply Chubyball. I am installing the entire mirror assembly (housing case, motor, 1-8 every part above). I already have every part needed (I started the install and stopped). The dealer told me that you need to follow the steps in order, otherwise the following step will not work. He says it's very specific, and unlike putting most things together.

I specifically need to find out how to get the door panel off, as well as the subsequent steps to install the mirror. There has to be a DIY out there? Thanks again.

Try this

If you want more there is also plenty on general threads with the door panels look under speaker upgrades in the stereo forum.

Re:HELP! Replace Passenger Side Mirror Assembly DIY (I searched)?

Hi,
I need to do the same i.e. replace passenger side mirror assembly. Where can I get the parts? Were you able to install it yourself?

Thanks.

Regards,
Rajesh

I got replacement parts on eBay. If you get them at the dealer, be prepared to bend over.
