cv boot tool adequacy

Does anyone know if an electric impact gun with a 1/2 inch drive is adequate to loosen every nut to replace the cv boots, or do I need an air compressor?

you can use a breaker bar to remove the 36mm flange nut. air impact tools just make it easier and faster, but not necessary. you can do the entire job with hand tools.

If I were you, I would tell the dealer to replace the entire axle that will come with new inner and outer boosting and total cost about $600.00 I would be a pain to do it yourself.
