Smile New member from Jersey, Channel Islands

I am new to X5 World and wonder whether I am the first member from the Jersey in the Channel Islands??

I am about to place an order for a 3.0d Sport (diesel is a much cheaper option here) with the following spec:

Black Sapphire
Truffle Brown Dakota Leather
Dark Wood
Style 132 Alloys
CD Changer
Hi-Fi Loudspeakers
Gradiant Band Windscreen
Folding Electric Exterior Mirrors

What do you think of the colour combo?

Is Black Sapphire difficult to keep clean?

Would Kalahari Beige be a better exterior choice?

:welcome: to X5world. We have quite a few members here from GB, but none from Jersey that I'm aware of. Glad to have you here.

Regarding the color choice, yes Black is going to be tough to keep clean (I speak from personal experience, as mine is Jet Black), but when it's clean it looks spectacular. As for interior color, I don't think you can go wrong with either one of those selections. Go with what you like best.

Enjoy!!

Welcome! I personally think black/truffle brown would look fine. I think black is a much better choice than kalahari beige.

Welcome! We have lots of members from New Jersey.

Black and truffle will look great. I remember a few years ago they offered mahogany colored leather in Canadian spec X5's. I saw a Black Sapphire X5 with that colour and it looked gorgeous. It is a richer more red colour than Truffle but the overall look is the same.

I have metalic black which is not as bad a jet black to keep clean does not show the dust quite as bad I was going toorder jet black but the dealer told me for resale met black is better and as there was no difference in cost that I should go for the metalic.I have grey leather interior which I like but I do have to clean the driver seat every once every two weeks !

Are you not getting the sunroof?

The roof is a pain to polish so makes the car easier to clean I am glad I got it when open full you have to drop the rear windows slightly otherwise it gets very noisey make the car o lot brighter inside too it can open in lots of different combinations too

Welcome aboard!! Black Sapphire is the best choice as an exterior color. I also have it with interior as black too. It looks very good (to me atleast). And yes, definitely black is a bit difficult to keep clean. Dust shines on black. Go for what you like and then figure it later how to keep it clean. Good luck.
