cold engine.... won't move car..... takes 3500rpms!

okay so heres my horror story..... had my axles (front) done and the next morning the driveshaft (front) popped out and slamed everything is reach, BMW dealership took ZERO fault and i thinks that was a scam, but regardless insurance paid me out 2500 and bmw quoted me like 7k i got the parts myself remanafacuted and got it done for 2600.

NOW it is done and i just got it back. it stalled out after i'd been driving it for the first hour, when i treid to take off from a dead stop, started back up and did it one more time, its been 3 days and hasn't done it again, i filled the tank and ran achohol thru it, seems to have helped but the worst prob is THERES NO POWER!!! especialy when i start it in the cold morn, today it wouldn't even MOVE! it toke 3500rpms just to get going in reverse on a flat. and my mini hill in my driveway forget it. after it warms up its fine will climb anywhere, only difference is it seems to be idleing VERY high like about 800-900 and way above that line (bettween 0 and 100) also when i take my foot off the brake at a light or something it just lunges forward.... never did that before...
i'm stumped

think they could have put the wrong axles in? they told me they would have to order them the day i droped it off then they called back and said they found some that would fit...... sketchy u ask me.....

what ever this prob is i think that its what caused my original smash down on my driveshaft, and now i'm afraid to drive if it happens again. And be told its my fault i must of hit something ..... AGAIN.

well thanks in advanced ~ BIGGZ

You are getting RIPPED off where ever you're getting this work done. $600 for new door handle?!! $1000 for pcv valve?!! $1000 for window regulators?!! $1000 for water pump?!! $650 for cam sensor?!! The rest of them seem to be normally priced.

As far as the axles go, you should've pressured the dealer into fixing it as they were clearly at fault.

oh i pressured big time........ and the 650 is for the thermostat replacement and i've already saved a hundred getting the parts myself. YEA RIPPED man i'm so drained on this thing i've got a seven year old to get to school tommorw and thats my only ride, its kinda ridiculous, oh right i forgot to add my insurance company sent there "expert" down to bmw to see my car after the driveshaft incident. and they agreed to pay not bmw. NOTHING else i could do.
They say they gotta order a new handle and paint it. I have a black car, it only works from the inside not the outside so i gotta let the women in from inside, REAL PIMP HUH? U too can ride like a bum just get a BMW......

Sounds like its running lean at startup.

Check the o2 sensor in the exhaust, water temp sensor, air temp sensor are connected properly. Also make sure all the hoses in the air inlet system are connected and sealing properly. Look for any vacuum lines that are not connected or cut/broken.

Chris.
