Well Here We Go Again

The wife (Liz) dropped of the X on Tuesday for yet some more warranty work.

1 Folding Mirrors - not!
2 Creaking from steering housing
3 Blue tooth not pairing
4 Horn not working
5 Seats squealing when moving
6 Leather on front passenger seat showing the spring underneath
7 Door handle loose
8 Auto Climate feature not working
9 Tighten hand brake cable.
10 Sat nav, not always working with the map, ie. in split screen, the map was showing a place that had been passed on hour back, but the directions on the right were correct to the current time and place.

So Liz phones up today about picking the car up and asks has everything been done. Yes is the answer, so Liz confirms that the sat nav has been changed. Err no, we can't get the problem! Liz loses it with the service manager as she had taken a photo of the screen when the problem occurred and had shown it to the service manager.

The service manager said that they had to see the problem! So after Liz gave a further mouth full, they agreed to look into it. The solution? Change the monitor?????? I know I'm not technacliy minded, but a monitor only shows what the computer is feeding it, so how is changing the monitor going to fix the problem.

Nav guys prob know more, but logically I think you are right.
Changing the screen won't change much. Maybe it will get them started...

Yes I tend to agree, let them change the screen. If the service guy is wrong, at least I have a new screen for my troubles.

They would be better off changing the drive and screen IMHO!
