24's just look funny. 22's look nice, I like my 20's, I think that's the perfect size

my x has the sport pacage. so it has 19s. but i have 20s on my 2001 bimmer 323ci and on my 94 stang.

So i want bigger on my bigger ride. i have been thinking about 22s but maybe 24s.

check out my wheels or wuzin's wheels we both have 22's and honestly that is the best size for the X5.

I agree.
Anything more than 22" should be on a caddy or H2.
Heres a pic of mine before I lowered it.

I ended up selling the wheels because winter was coming and I had to be so careful of hitting potholes and other stuff.
They made driving fast scary , not fun.

depends on what you want,
if you want to still be practical then 20's max
if you go 22's you better get a big break kit or you'll be replacing your pads/rotors very often not to mention sending your rims for repair often as soon as you hit some small imperfections in the roads, not all roads are brand new boulevard type

have you ever wondered what the pads/rotors life is on Escalades, hummers etc, with 24's etc. because i have yet to see one that didn't have stock breaks and they loook sooo small to begin with, thanks to GM

24's are a headache.....one of my friends kept going on and on about getting 24's and how SLAMMiN his X would be (IGNORING EVERYONE ELSES OPINION).....HE REGRETS IT WITH A PASSION ....rims bent, braking sucked, the ride was unbarable....i TRIED talking him out of it and going with the 22's...He got rid of the 24's bought 22's and is somewhat happy.....

I SAY GO WITH 20's with a beefer tire....in NYC its almost impossible to do anything above 20"....Take these words of wisdom and you wont regret it!!!!

X5 is a sAv not a H2...go with 45-55 beefy tires not 25 or 30 thickness.....

If i can find some pics i will post of the bent rims...i did take pics but I'm going to have to do some digging to find them....

GOOD LUCK
